Today is not a sad day. Today my father was supposed to by laying in a hospital bed with two twelve inch rods in his back, recuperating from a risky surgery, never again able to tie his shoes.
Instead, today he walked to the car and we drove home from the hospital and ate dinner together around the table and played with the dog in the living room.
The road ahead is uncertain, but the battle is the Lord's, and we will march toward it worshiping with abandon.
