I have learned in the past few weeks that both the peace that passes all understanding and the worry of this world are contagious. They radiate out from people who walk by faith or who become concerned by the waves under their feet when Jesus calls them out of the boat. I am so blessed to have faithful followers of Jesus in my life, people who are a tangible example of God's faithfulness by their stories and by the way they actively, willingly, and joyfully yeild their plans to God's. They exude the confidence and contentment that comes from trusting in Him and I aim to be more trusting of God's plans and more accepting of the peace He offers in abundance because of the example I have seen walked out by them.

Over a year ago I prayed this prayer for the first time:
There is so little I know about what is coming next, but I pray that instead of feeling anxious or worried about it, that I would celebrate it, that I would be joyful to be at the mercy of Your plans because I know Your plans are good.

And I prayed that prayer many times. But this week it was instead,
I am delighted to be at the mercy of your plans because I know your plans are good.

It feels so wonderful.
